Senior Congress leaders keep eye on polling booths from PCC

  • More than 200 complaints received from across the state
  • Complaints filed in Election Commission in 15 heinous cases

This time in Madhya Pradesh, voting was conducted in one day and this time, the Congress kept a close watch on the polling booths across the state along with a comprehensive strategy.

The special thing is that the team of senior leaders and advocates, including former CM and PCC Chief Kamal Nath, former Chief Minister Digvijay Singh, heard the complaints from across the state in the control room run from the PCC headquarters and communicated with the officials to take appropriate action. During this period, more than 200 complaints were received from across the state, which were reported to the Election Commission. Apart from this, the Congress Party has complained about 15 heinous cases to the Election Commission, which are mentioned below.

Congress complained in these 15 cases

–       An attempt was made to take the life of Congress MLA Vikram Singh from Rajnagar, Chhatarpur. Actually, Vikram Singh’s driver Salman has already lost his life in this attack.
–       A Sundaria tribal was brutally attacked by BJP supporters in Rewa, Madhya Pradesh. At present the victim of the attack is battling for life and death in the hospital.
–       More shocking incident is that in Dimani, from where BJP leader and candidate Narendra Tomar is contesting, two people were shot and injured in broad daylight.
–       The Congress candidate from Sidhi was attacked and his vehicle was damaged.
–       Congress polling agents were forcibly removed from polling station number 105 Baharpur village of Khurai constituency.
–       Congress workers were attacked in Jeet Nagar of Indore which falls under Rau assembly constituency.
–       Congress workers were threatened by supporters of the BJP candidate in Bargi assembly constituency.
–       BJP supporters threatened Congress candidate from Indore 1 constituency inside the police station.
–       BJP supporters threatened and assaulted a Congress supporter in Vijayraghavgarh assembly constituency and the video went viral.
–       Stones were pelted by BJP workers on the car of a Congress candidate from Jhabua.
–       Congress supporters in Prithvipur assembly constituency threatened by BJP goons who entered Madhya Pradesh from Uttar Pradesh, no action taken by police.
–       Congress member threatened in front of police by BJP candidate from Shujalpur assembly constituency.
–       Congress workers were attacked with swords in Dr. Ambedkarnagar Mhow assembly constituency.
–       BJP workers pelted stones at Congress workers in Joura assembly constituency of Morena.
–       Congress candidate from Biaora assembly constituency attacked by BJP workers.
