Mumbai, Dec 9 (UNI) The BSE Sensex on Monday lost another 200.66 pts to settle at 81,508.46 as selling pressure was seen in FMCG, Auto and Health care stocks amid a mixed trend in Asian Market.
The National Stock Exchange (NSE) slipped 58.80 pts at 24,619.
The Sensex opened weak at 81,602.58, declining 107 pts. During the day it was dropped 298 pts at 81,411.55, the day’s low, before closing at 81,508.46, down 200.66 pts from its previous close.
The Nifty registered days high and low at 24,705 pts and 24,580.05 pts, respectively.
The stocks that fell were FMCG by 1.93 pc, Auto by 0.64 pc, and Health Care by 0.37 pc.
The Mid cap rose 0.32 pc and Small cap by 0.46 pc.
In 30 scrips, 13 advanced while 17 declined.
The losers were Hind Unilever by 3.26 pc to Rs 2403.06, Tata Motors by 2.21 pc to Rs 798.70, Axis Bank by 1.64 pc to Rs 1166.55 and Nestle India Ltd by 1.60 pc to Rs 2229.90.
The gainers were L& T by 2.33 pc to Rs 3955.95, JSW Steel by 1.04 pc to Rs 1013.35, Tata Steel by 0.91 pc to Rs 144.60 and HDFC Bank by 0.60 pc to Rs 1868.80.
In Asian Market, the stocks slipped were Strait Times by 0.03 pc and Kospi by 2.86 pc while Hang Seng was up by 2.69 pc and Taiwan Weighted by 0.34 pc.
