Mumbai, Nov 13 (UNI) The BSE Sensex on Monday dropped 325.58 pts to settle at 64,933.87 as selling was seen in IT, Consumer Durable and Technology stocks amid mixed trend in Asian Market.
The National Stock Exchange (NSE) fell 82 pts at 19,443.55.
The Sensex opened negative at 65,158.31, fell 151 pts. It remained negative throughout the session as it tumbled down 426 pts at 64,853.36, days low before closing at 64,933.87, sliding 325.58 pts from its previous close.
The Nifty registered days high and low at 19,494.40 and 19,414.40 pts respectively.
The stocks like IT, Consumer Durable and Technology stocks dragged the market.
IT slid by 0.77 pc followed by Consumer Durable by 0.75 pc and Technology by 0.66 pc.
In scrips, the draggers were Bajaj Finance by 1.25 pc to Rs 7365, Infosys by 1.02 pc to Rs 1373.90, Tech Mahindra by 0.96 pc to Rs 1131.05, TCS by 0.84 pc to Rs 3330.10 and ICICI Bank by 0.80 pc to Rs 834.65.
The gainers were M& M by 0.94 pc to Rs 1541, JSW Steel by 0.53 pc to Rs 760.75, NTPC by 0.39 pc to Rs 245.50, Powergrid by 0.38 pc to Rs 212.70 and IndusInd Bank by 0.21 pc to Rs 1505.50.
The Mid Cap rose by 0.10 pc while Small Cap declined by 0.01 pc.
In 30 scrips, 5 advanced while 25 declined.
In Asian Market, Straits Times fell by 0.92 pc and Kospi by 0.25 pc.
While, Hang Seng was up by 1.28 pc, Nikkei by 0.05 pc and Taiwan Weighted by 0.93 pc.
There will be no trading on BSE and NSE on Tuesday on account of ‘Diwali Balipratipada’, broker informed.
