Sensex ends all time-high at 82,559.84 pts

Mumbai, Sept 2 (UNI) The BSE Sensex remained on top on Monday too, advancing 194.07 pts to close at 82,559.84 as buying was witnessed in FMCG, Financial Services Bankex stocks.

The National Stock Exchange (NSE) gained 42.80 pts at 25,278.70.

The day opened at 82,725.28, up 360 pts. It remained the days high, before closing at 82,559.84, rising 194.07 pts from its previous close.

The NSE registered days high and low at 25,333.65 and 25,235.50 pts respectively.

The stocks that soared were FMCG by 0.75 pc, Bajaj Finserv by 0.55 pc and Bankex by 0.32 pc.

The Mid cap rose 0.03 and Small cap by 0.47 pc.

In 30 scrips, 18 advanced while 12 declined.

The gainers were Bajaj Finserv by 3.23 pc to Rs 1840.10, Bajaj Finance by 3.19 pc to Rs 7435.70, HCL Technology by 3.13 pc to Rs 1807.05 and ITC by 1.60 pc to Rs 509.90.

The losers were NTPC by 1.57 pc to Rs 409.85, Tata Motors by 1.52 pc to Rs 1092.50, M& M by 1.04 pc to Rs 2776.95 and Bharti Airtel by 0.90 pc to Rs 1574.65.

In Asian Market, Strait Times was up 0.58 pc and Kospi by 0.25 pc while Hang Seng fell by 1.68 pc and Taiwan Weighted by 0.15 pc.
