Sensex ends marginally weak at 75,967.39 pts

Mumbai, Feb 18 (UNI) The BSE Sensex on Tuesday ended negative at 75,967.39, declining 29.47 pts as selling was seen in Industrials, Consumer Durable, and Telecommunication stocks.

The National Stock Exchange (NSE) eased 14.20 pts at 22,945.30.

High oscillation was witnessed during the session, as the Sensex opened in green at 76,073.71, up 77 pts. It further gained 95 pts at 76,091.69, a day high.

Later, it tanked 465 pts at 75,531.01, a day low, before closing at 75,967.39, sliding 29.47 pts from its last close.

The Nifty registered days high and low at 22,992.50 and 22,801.50 pts respectively.

The stocks that fell were Industrials by 1.51 pc, Telecom by 1.06 pc, and Consumer Durable by 1.19 pc.

The Mid-cap eased by 0.19 pc and the Small-cap fell by 1.75 pc.

In 30 scrips, 15 advances while 15 declined.

The losers were IndusInd Bank by 2.38 pc to Rs 1023, M& M by 1.87 pc to Rs 2777.40, Ultracemco by 1.60 pc to Rs 11297.60 and Hind Unilever by 1.27 pc to Rs 2299.35.

The gainers were NTPC by 3.09 pc to Rs 311.85, Tech Mahindra by 2.01 pc to Rs 1698.40, Zomato by 1.83 pc to Rs 222.55 and Powergrid by 1.37 pc to Rs 266.75.
