Mumbai, Mar 11 (UNI) The BSE Sensex on Tuesday ended marginally weak by 12.85 pts to close at 74,102.32 as selling pressure was seen in IT, Bankex and Focused IT stocks.
The National Stock Exchange (NSE) rose 37.60 pts at 22,497.90.
A fluctuation was seen during the session, as the Sensex opened in red at 73,743.88, down 372 pts. It further dropped 452 pts at 73,663, days low, before closing at 74,102.32, easing 12.85 pts from its last close.
The Nifty registered a day high at 22,522.10 and low at 22,314.70 pts.
The stocks that kept the market for the third straight session on Tuesday include, IT by 0.87 pc, Focus IT by 0.82 pc and Bankex by 0.36 pc.
The Mid-cap rose by 0.72 pc while the Small-cap fell by 0.70 pc.
In 30 scrips, 17 advanced while 13 declined.
The losers were IndusInd Bank by 27.02 pc to Rs 657.25, Infosys by 2.15 pc to Rs 1666.20 Bajaj Finance by 1.82 pc to Rs 1805.45, and M & M by 1.77 pc to Rs 2654.
The gainers were Sun Pharma Pvt by 2.62 pc to Rs 1653.30 and ICICI Bank by 2.40 pc to Rs 1243.70.
