Sensex falls 122.52 points

Mumbai, Feb 12 (UNI) Extending losses for the sixth consecutive session on Wednesday, the BSE Sensex lost by 122.52 points to settle at 76,171.08 on weak global cues.

The National Stock Exchange (NSE) fell 26.55 points at 23,045.25.

The Sensex fell 105 points to open at 76,188.24. During the day, it was tanked 905 points at 75,388.39, days low, before closing at 76,171.08, sliding 122.52 points from its previous close.

The Nifty registered days high and low at 23,144.70 and 22,798.35 points respectively.

The stocks that tumbled down were Realty by 2.58 pc, Auto by 0.84 pc and Energy by 0.70 pc.

The Mid cap declined 0.45 pc and Small cap by 0.49 pc.

In 30 scrips, 16 advances while 14 declined.

The losers were M& M by 2.78 pc to Rs 2998.85, ITC by 1.73 pc to Rs 411.20, IndusInd Bank by 1.52 pc to Rs 1038.05 and Powergrid by 1.49 pc to Rs 257.60.

The gainers were Bajaj Finance by 2.64 pc to Rs 1790.50, Tata Steel by 1.77 pc to Rs 132.40, L& T by 1.58 pc to Rs 3291.40 and Kotak Bank by 1.44 pc pc to Rs 1945.05.
