Mumbai, Aug 24 (UNI) Snapping a winning streak of last three sessions, the BSE sensex on Thursday slipped 180.86 pts to settle at 65,252.34 on profit booking by local operators.
The Nifty eased 57.30 pts at 19,386.70.
See saw trend was seen during the session, as the Sensex opened strong at 65,722.51, up 289 pts. It was spurted 480 pts at 65,913.77, days high.
In late trade, it was dropped nearly 252 pts at 65,181, days low, before closing at 65,252.34, sliding 180.96 pts from its previous close.
The stocks include, Health Care, Metal, Energy and Consumer Durable dragged the market.
Health care slid by 0.72 pc, Energy by 0.69 pc, Metal by 0.45 pc and Consumer Durable by 0.39 pc.
The Mid Cap rose by 0.11 pc and Small Cap by 0.21 pc.
In 31 scrips, 12 advanced while 19 declined.
The losers were Jio Finance Services by 4.99 pc to be 215.90, Reliance Industries by 1.83 pc to Rs 2477, Powergrid by 1.20 pc to be 246.60, L& T by 1.12 pc to Rs 2687 and JSW Steel by 1.05 pc to Rs 788.90.
The gainers were IndusInd Bank by 1.28 pc to Rs 1418.55, Infosys by 1.05 pc to Rs 1422.45, Ultracemco by 0.54 pc to Rs 8203.25 and ICICI Bank by 0.41 pc to Rs 970.20.
The Asian Market was up as Strait Times gained 0.21 pc, Hang Seng by 2.01 pc and Taiwan Weighted by 1.16 pc.
