Mumbai, July 31 (UNI) Extending rally for the third straight session on Wednesday, the BSE Sensex ended historic high at 81,741.34, up 285.94 pts on strong global cues.
The National Stock Exchange (NSE) rose 83.85 pts at 24,951.15.
The Sensex opened higher at 81,655.90, rising 200 pts. It was spurted 349 pts at 81,828.04, days high before closing at 81,741.34, up 285.94 from its previous close.
Stocks that kept the rally intact were Utilities by 1.57 pc, Power by 1.46 pc and Metal by 1.12 pc.
The Mid Cap gained 0.86 pc while Small Cap fell by 0.14 pc.
The gainers were Maruti Suzuki by 3.93 pc to Rs 13,380.35, JSW Steel by 3.64 pc to Rs 934.90, Asian Paints by 2.71 pc to Rs 3086, NTPC by 2.24 pc to Rs 416 and Adani Ports by 1.83 pc to Rs 1573.95.
The losers were Reliance Industries by 0.51 pc to Rs 3010, Infosys by 0.48 pc to Rs 1868, Tata Motors by 0.42 pc to Rs 1157.40 and M& M by 0.36 pc to Rs 2910.80.
Asian Market was also up as Hang Seng by 1.97 pc, Kospi by 1.17 pc and Strait Times by 0.41 pc.
