Mumbai, Aug 28 (UNI) The BSE Sensex maintained its winning streak intact for the seventh straight session on Wednesday, advancing 73 pts to close at 81,785.56 following gains in Technology, IT, Health care and Telecommunications stocks.
The National Stock Exchange (NSE) moved up by 34.60 pts at 25,052.35.
The days opened at 81,779.65, rising 68 pts. It was rallied 328 pts at 82,039.26, days high before closing at 81,785.56,
Lackluster trading was seen during the session, as the Sensex opened at 81,815.23, up 117 pts. During the day it added 221 pts at 81,919.11, days high, before closing at 81,711.76, gaining 13.65 pts from its last close.
It was registered days low at 81,600.51, declining 98 pts.gaining 73.80 pts from its previous close.
The NSE registered days high and low at 25,129.60 and 24,946.65 pts respectively.
The stocks that advanced were Technology by 1.31 pc, IT by 1.24 pc, Health care by 0.91 pc.
The Mid cap gained 0.04 pc while small cap rose by 0.50 pc.
In 30 scrips, 11 advanced, 19 declined.
The gainers were Bharti Airtel by 2.20 pc to Rs 1556, Infosys by 2.20 pc to Rs 1937.15, IndusInd Bank by 1.95 pc to Rs 1410.50 and Sun Pharma by 1.16 pc to Rs 1809.70.
A mixed trend was seen in Asian Market. Taiwan Weighted was up by 0.83 pc and Kospi by 0.02 pc while Strait Times slipped by 1.22 pc and Hang Seng by 1.03 pc.
