Mumbai, Aug 1 (UNI) Sony Entertainment Television has announced the premiere of a new light-hearted comedy show, “Aapka Apna Zakir,” featuring popular stand-up comedian Zakir Khan.
The show is set to debut on August 10, 2024, and will air every Saturday and Sunday at 9:30 PM.
“Aapka Apna Zakir” promises viewers “khushiyon ki guarantee” (a guarantee of happiness) and “manoranjan ka vada” (a promise of entertainment). The show will feature Zakir Khan’s unique perspective on everyday life situations, transforming common experiences into humorous scenarios.
Joining Khan on the panel are two well-known television personalities, actress Shweta Tiwari and actor-host Rithvik Dhanjani. Dhanjani, known for his dramatic roles and hosting skills, will be exploring a new facet of his talent as he takes on the character of a charismatic “love skeptic” in the show.
In a statement, Dhanjani expressed his excitement about venturing into comedy, “I’ve always found immense joy and growth in exploring new avenues of entertainment, from acting to hosting. Now, I’m incredibly excited to delve into comedy, a genre I’ve long admired for its power to bring laughter and smiles.”
The announcement was made public when Sony TV Official shared the information on their Instagram account earlier today. “Aapka Apna Zakir” is positioned as a feel-good show that aims to bring laughter and joy to viewers’ weekend evenings. With its mix of established comedy talent and fresh perspectives, Sony Entertainment Television hopes to capture a wide audience with this new offering.
