Shah pays tributes to martyred soldiers on Police Commemoration Day

New Delhi, Oct 21 (UNI) Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Monday paid tributes to all the soldiers who made the supreme sacrifice for the country at the National Police Memorial here.

Speaking on the Police Commemoration Day, the Home Minister said, “On behalf of the grateful nation, I salute the soldiers of all forces who made the supreme sacrifice for the internal security of the country and the protection of its border.”

“It is these brave soldiers who protect the borders of the country from Kashmir to Kanyakumari, and from Kutch to Kibithu, by standing firm on the borders in every season and every situation,” Shah said.

Calling the brave police personnel as the pride of the country, Shah said, “No matter how big the dangers and challenges, they cannot stand before the unwavering resolve of our soldiers”.

He said the ‘National Police Memorial’ is a symbol of the steadfast determination, intense patriotism and supreme sacrifice of the soldiers to do their duty.

Earlier, the Home Minister on the occasion of Police Commemoration Day in a post on X said, “On the Police Commemoration Day, I bow to our martyrs immortalised by their supreme sacrifices in the line of duty.”

“This is an occasion that honors the infinite sacrifices the police personnel and their families make to see our nation safe. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to them for all the sacrifices they have made for the nation,” Shah said.
