Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan called a meeting at his residence in the capital on Monday regarding the preparations for the Budhni assembly by-election, but two leaders very close to Chouhan and contenders for the ticket from Budhni did not reach this meeting, one of them is former Forest Development Corporation Chairman Guru Prasad Sharma and the other is former MP Warehousing Corporation Chairman Rajendra Singh Rajput. This fuelled speculation and their absence was linked to their displeasure.
The names of Guru Prasad Sharma and Rajendra Singh Rajput were included in the panel sent to Delhi by the BJP State Election Management Committee for the Budhni assembly seat. The name of Kartikeya Singh Chauhan, son of the Union Agriculture Minister, was also included in the panel, but after not getting the ticket, Kartikeya Singh Chauhan made it clear by giving a statement that he is campaigning in favor of BJP candidate Ramakant Bhargava from Budhni, he even described Bhargava as his father, but due to the absence of two other close aides in the meeting called at the Union Agriculture Minister’s bungalow at 74 Bungalow on Monday, questions have been raised about the election preparations. BJP candidate from Budhni Ramakant Bhargava, Sehore district in-charge minister Krishna Gaur, Sehore district BJP president Ravi Malviya, Raghunath Singh Bhati and former minister Rampal Singh also attended the meeting, in which the outline of the election preparations was made.

During this, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan, BJP State President VD Sharma will also be present.
