- Alumni reunion held in Hamidia College

Former Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan reached Hamidia College, Bhopal, from where he had completed his higher education. An alumni reunion was organized here on Sunday, after attending which Shivraj had dinner with his college friends.
Chauhan refreshed old memories by singing the song ‘Ehsaan Mere Dil Pe Tumhaara Hai Doston’. After this he wrote- Then I remembered those old days. When the stories never ended. Former CM Shivraj Singh Chauhan remained in the program from 1.30 pm to 4 pm. During this, he said that we all should make efforts to further promote the name of Hamidia College. We are all friends among ourselves. Are at a good place. We should remain involved in each other’s sorrows and happiness. If a friend is in trouble, some arrangement should be made so that he can be helped without delay.
Had food on a plate with friends – Shivraj tweeted after the alumni reunion and wrote – Then I remembered those old days. When the stories never ended. The conversation didn’t stop. Chaupal was set on the dining table. The food would finish on one plate with a group of friends but the conversations would not end.
Students from 1977 to 82 participated
Former minister Deepak Joshi, who participated in the program, said that this program has been organized on the initiative of Hamidia College Old Student Association President Ashok Chaturvedi. All of us alumni contributed Rs 700 per person for the conference. Alumni participated in the program from 1977-78 to 1981-82. We all narrated memoirs remembering our college days. Many officers, judges and leaders including President Shankar Dayal Sharma, former Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, former MP Alok Sanjar have studied from Hamidia College.
