Bhopal: Former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has expressed his commitment to the transformative impact of initiatives such as ‘Ladli Bahna,’ emphasizing their positive influence on the lives of sisters. He pledged to actively engage in linking and enlightening women about the scheme’s advantages, with a vision to transition from ‘Ladli Bahna’ to ‘Lakhpati Bahna.’
Reflecting on his journey as the 2023 came to an end, Shivraj shared his early dedication to supporting daughters, orchestrating weddings for impoverished girls as an MLA and adopting orphaned daughters as an MP. He declared his lifelong mission to ensure justice for half the population. His tenure as Chief Minister witnessed the crucial empowerment schemes like ‘Ladli Lakshmi Yojana’ and ‘Ladli Bahna’.
Shivraj expressed joy at the transformative impact of ‘Ladli Bahna’ on sisters’ lives, urging a shift towards ‘Lakhpati Bahna.’ He affirmed his ongoing collaboration with the government in raising awareness, facilitating connections, providing training, and ensuring the scheme’s benefits reach its intended recipients.
Highlighting the positive changes in Madhya Pradesh, Shivraj cited a notable increase in per capita income from Rs 11,000 to Rs 1 lakh 40 thousand. Extending best wishes to Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, he envisioned continued development guided by the Prime Minister.
Reviewing the past year, Shivraj acknowledged the challenges ahead, particularly the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. As a devoted party worker, his goal is a resounding victory for the Bharatiya Janata Party in all 29 Lok Sabha seats of Madhya Pradesh. He attributed the party’s success to the government’s impactful work in development and public welfare.
Shivraj asserted his commitment to the BJP’s mission of national reconstruction, considering himself a worker contributing, like a squirrel, to this greater cause. He pledged to diligently execute any tasks assigned by party leaders, prioritizing the mission over personal ambitions.
