Six killed, 15 injured in compressor blast at glass factory in Telangana

Hyderabad, June 28 (UNI) Six people were killed and 15 others injured, some critically, when a compressor exploded at South Glass factory, Shadnagar in Ranga Reddy district of Telangana on Friday

The explosion created a horrifying scene with body parts scattered throughout the factory premises.

Upon receiving information, police and fire forces rushed to the scene and worked to extinguish the fire.

Approximately 30 workers from Odisha, Bihar, and Uttar Pradesh were present at the time of the accident.

The injured were transported to Osmania General Hospital and Gandhi Hospital for treatment. Police indicated that the death toll might rise.

A case has been registered, and an investigation is underway.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy expressed shock over the fire accident. He asked the District Collector to take the necessary steps to provide better medical treatment to the injured and speed up the rescue operation.

BRS Working President K T Rama Rao also expressed shock over the fire accident and condoled the deceased family members.
