Skilling manpower for electronics and semiconductor manufacturing industries is need of the hour: Prof CC Tripathi

NITTTR Bhopal is going to start a skilling center for Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly and Test (OSAT). All types of training related to the semiconductor industry will be provided in this center, so that skilled manpower can be developed in this area. Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly and Test (OSAT) are companies that offer third-party IC-packaging and test services.

Speaking on the occasion Prof. CC Tripathi, Director, NITTTR, said that today the world is looking towards India in the field of semiconductor. Today this area is in the priority of the Government. Our design engineers are best in the world. The Centre primarily aims to develop a industry specific capacity building activities addressing the skill gap in the OSAT/ATMP semiconductor industry, provide hands-on training and technical training programs for individuals at various levels in the semiconductor industry. It will also help in upskilling the existing workforce to keep up with the latest technological advancements. Japanese industrialist Mr. Debendra Mohanta said that there is a lot of potential in India & We can become leaders in this direction by creating skilled manpower. He is helping to make NITTTR Bhopal a skilling center. Mr. Naresh Chand of America said that Indian culture gets respect everywhere. Sometimes we forget our power. Today the whole world wants to invest in the field of semiconductor, India has this huge opportunity. Prof. Subrata Roy, Prof. Ashish Deshpande, Prof. MA Rizvi, Prof. PK Purohit, Prof. AS Walkey, Prof. RP Khambayat, Prof. SS Kedar were present in this program.
