- Scribes above 70 will get permanent accreditation card; CM performs bhumi pujan of State Media Centre
Bhopal, Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that journalists play the role of a bridge between the society and the government.
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan was addressing the bhoomi pujan ceremony for the State Media Center in Malviya Nagar, Bhopal today. Public Relations Minister Shri Rajendra Shukla and Commissioner Public Relations Shri Manish Singh were present on this occasion.
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan announced to issue advertisements to small newspapers at an interval of one month and to provide permanent preference card to journalists above 70 years of age. Every year five women journalists will be provided fellowship to study on women’s development work. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that journalists are the assurance received by the society, due to which hearing is ensured. The ink of journalists has an invaluable contribution in nation building. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that journalists and journalism are the lifeblood of democracy.
Media center will become Gurukul for students
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that today in the era of electronic and social media, there is a crisis of credibility at some places. Dialogue, communication and contact are the lifeblood of journalism. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan expressed hope that the State Media Center will become the center of communication, communication of news and our contact with these journalists. This center will become a Gurukul for journalism students. This center will utilize the experiences of seniors and the energy of youth. Will also cherish the memories of the old house.
Plots to be provided to journalists
Public Relations Minister Shri Rajendra Shukla said in the welcome address that today journalists from all over the state have come to lay the foundation stone of the State Media Centre. Journalists work to make democracy a boon. They should get basic facilities. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan has given the state the identity of a rapidly developing state by ending the identity of being a sick state. Now it is not us but the world that says that Madhya Pradesh is joining the developed states. From time to time he has taken steps in the interest of all sections. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan also implemented health insurance scheme for journalists, which provided relief to many families.
