Bhadohi (UP), May 16 (UNI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday came down heavily on Trinamool Congress and said that the TMC’s brand of politics is “Vote Jihad” and the Samajwadi Party (SP) appears keen to adopt the same in Uttar Pradesh.
Addressing an election rally in support of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate Vinod Bind, the PM said, “Bhadohi’s election is being discussed throughout the state. People are asking from where TMC came in Bhadohi’s election.”
It may be noted that Trinamool has fielded Lalitesh Pati Tripathi, grandson of former UP Chief Minister Kamla Pati Tripathi, as its candidate from Bhadohi as a part of INDI alliance.
He said that while Congress has no existence in UP, SP has conceded that there is nothing left for it in this election.
“They (the opposition) have been wiped out. SP people have deserted the field. It has become difficult for SP and Congress to save their deposit in Bhadohi, therefore they are doing political experiments here. They want to do a trial run for TMC politics from Bengal,” he said.
Modi said, “You know what kind of politics TMC does in Bengal. TMC politics means a poisonous arrow of appeasement, it means terming Ram temple ‘impure’, banning Ram Navami celebrations, patronising Bangladeshi intruders.
“In other words, it is nothing more than vote-Jihad, murder of Hindus and oppression of Dalits and Tribals. TMC MLAs say that they will drown BJP workers in Ganga and SP wants to take UP in the same direction.”
He said that during the SP regime in UP, terrorists used to get special protocol. “The SP government was kind to the terrorist organisation SIMI (Student Islamic Movement of India) and released its kingpin. After some time, bomb explosions took place at several places in UP in which several people lost their lives,” he said.
The PM said that there is an alliance of Bua from Bengal (Mamata Banerjee) and Babua (Akhilesh Yadav). “The earlier Bua (BSP supremo Mayawati) identified and left SP. Now they have brought Bua from Bengal. It will be good if you maintain a distance of several miles from them,” he said.
He said, “I want to ask a question from Shehzada of SP that when Bua is so close to you, have you ever asked her why she calls the people from Bihar and UP outsiders? This is one country, we all are Indians, we all are children of Bharat Mata, then why the people from UP going to Bengal are being abused by TMC? Babua should ask this question from Bua.”
Modi said that the thing which connects TMC and SP is politics of appeasement. “These contractors of appeasement want to change the identity of India. These are the same people who used to say in the court that Lord Ram is an imaginary figure.
“Would the people of SP, Congress and TMC have allowed the construction of the temple? Today a grand temple of Lord Ram is in front of us,” he said.
He said that today Ram Lalla has moved into his grand temple from the tent. “Didn’t you feel pain when Ram Lalla was in the tent? Today he has been consecrated in his grand temple, but these people are unable to accept it,” he said.
The PM said that SP leaders say that the temple is useless. “The Shehzada of Congress wants to overturn the decision of the court and wants to put a lock on the Ram temple. He wants to force Ram Lalla to live in the tent once again, but we won’t let them succeed in their intention.
“It is only BJP which takes pride in the grand temple in Ayodhya, which rejuvenated Baba Vishwanath’s Dham in Varanasi and is constructing the Dham of Maa Vindhyavasini,” he said.
He said that with the blessings of Maa Vindhyavasini this campaign is not going to stop. “BJP has changed the identity of UP by working hard day and night. Today UP is identified by expressways.
“Till 2017 there were seven airports, today there are 17 airports in the state and three new ones are being constructed. Bhaodhi is witnessing all-round development for the first time. You will feel proud that Bhadohi’s carpet has been used in the grand new Parliament building,” the PM said.
Modi said that Bhadohi’s carpet has been given the top place in the One District One Product scheme.
“During the SP regime there used to be One District One Mafia. Every district used to have an empire of a different mafia. Traders, our sisters, daughters were not safe and there was no future for the youth,” he said.
He said that since Yogi Adityanath took charge, the atmosphere in UP has changed completely. “Now instead of people, the mafia are scared,” he said.
The PM said that earlier SP and Congress used to loot the vote of village, poor, worker and farmer in the name of caste. “This benefitted a handful of families, who made the bungalows and palaces.
“They never constructed a house for the poor. Not a single farmer was benefitted and the previous governments never worried about the poor,” he said.
He said that it was only when the son of a poor mother became the Pradhan Sewak steps were taken for the poor. “For Modi the biggest work is to pull the poor out of poverty.
“Modi never made a house of his own. He has no place of his own to reside, but he made houses for 4 crore poor families. He took piped water to 14 crore houses which ended the generations-long problem of mothers and sisters,” he said.
Modi said that to rid women from the smoke of traditional stoves, free gas cylinders were provided. “Today 80 crore people are getting free ration. When Sonia Gandhi’s remotely-operated government was there, the Supreme Court said provide free ration to poor, but the then PM said that we cannot provide ration to poor. He said that we cannot take so much burden,” he said.
He said, “I guarantee that the people will continue to get free ration in the next five years. 2.5 crore farmers in UP have received Rs 70,000 crore of Kisan Samman Nidhi. You all know the work of Modi,” he said.
The PM said, “I have not come to count my work. I have come to guarantee what will happen in the next five years. In the next five years not a single poor person will be left out.
“Three crore houses will be constructed for the poor and 3 crore sisters will be made ‘Lakhpati Didis’. And all this Modi can only do with the power of your vote.”
