Bhopal: Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya is working for national integration, and promotes research and training for salvage and revitalization of vanishing but valuable cultural traditions. The students of B. Arch, and B Plan. School of Planning and Architecture (SPA), Bhopal visited and documented the vernacular tribal homes at Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya.
The around 150 students were led by their faculty inclusive of professor Ramesh P Bhole the documentation exercise is a part of their ongoing design vernacular studio work which is aimed to develop an understanding of vernacular tradition, culture, art and architecture. Manav Sangrahalaya has always endorsed and encouraged such a type of learning and understanding which is highly appreciated. The young architects were guided through the visit by museum officers.
