Chennai, Oct 16 (UNI) In view of heavy rains and waterlogging in tracks, the Southern Railway on Wednesday announced change in pattern of train services, besides fully cancelling three express trains originating from Chennai, short-terminating some of them.
A Railway release said consequent to suspension of traffic due to water logging between Basin Bridge and Vyasarpadi Railway Stations following heavy rain, three trains were cancelled leaving Chennai today.
The cancelled trains are Train No 12007 Dr MGR Chennai Central – Mysuru Shatabdi leaving Dr MGR Chennai Central at 06.00 hrs, Train No. 16054 Tirupati – Dr MGR Chennai Central Express leaving Tirupati at 10.10 hrs and Train No 16053 Dr MGR Chennai Central – Tirupati Express leaving Dr MGR Chennai Central at 14.25 hrs.
It also announced short termination of several trains.
The Train No. 22650 Erode – Dr MGR Chennai Central Yercaud Superfast Express that left Erode at 21.00 hrs yesterday will short terminate at Perambur. The train will be partially cancelled between Perambur and Dr MGR Chennai Central.
Train No. 22640 Alappuzha – Dr MGR Chennai Central Superfast Express that left Alappuzha at 15.20 hrs yesterday will short terminate at Avadi. The train will be partially cancelled between Avadi and Dr MGR Chennai Central.
Train No. 12602 Mangaluru Central – Dr MGR Chennai Central Mail that left Mangaluru Central at 13.55 hrs yesterday will short terminate at Tiruvallur. The train will be partially cancelled between Tiruvallur and Dr MGR Chennai Central.
Train No. 12674 Coimbatore – Dr MGR Chennai Central Cheran Superfast Express that left Coimbatore at 22.50 hrs yesterday will short terminate at Tiruvallur. The train will be partially cancelled between Tiruvallur and Dr MGR Chennai Central.
Train No. 12624 Thiruvananthapuram Central – Dr MGR Chennai Central Mail that left Thiruvananthapuram Central at 15.00 hrs yesterday will short terminate at Arakkonam. The train will be partially cancelled between Arakkonam and Dr MGR Chennai Central.
Train No. 22159 Mumbai CST – Dr MGR Chennai Central Express that left Mumbai CST at 12.45 hrs yesterday will short terminate at Arakkonam. The train will be partially cancelled between Arakkonam and Dr MGR Chennai Central.
It also announced change in termination of some trains.
Train No. 22652 Palakkad – Dr MGR Chennai Central Express that left Palakkad at 16.10 hrs yesterday will terminate at Chennai Beach.
Train No. 12672 Mettupalayam – Dr MGR Chennai Central Nilagiri Superfast Express that left Mettupalayam at 21.20 hrs yesterday will terminate at Chennai Beach.
Train No. 16022 Mysuru – Dr MGR Chennai Central Kaveri Express that left Mysuru at 21.00 hrs on 15.10.2024 will terminate at Chennai Beach.
Train No. 12686 Mangaluru Central – Dr MGR Chennai Central Superfast Express that left Mangaluru Central at 16.55 hrs yesterday will terminate at Chennai Beach.
Train No. 12696 Thiruvananthapuram Central – Dr MGR Chennai Central Superfast Express that left Thiruvananthapuram Central at 17.15 hrs yesterday will terminate at Chennai Beach.
It also announced change in Originationof some other trains.
Train No. 22160 Dr MGR Chennai Central – Mumbai CST scheduled to leave Dr MGR Chennai Central at 13.15 hrs today will originate from Arakkonam at 14.25 hrs.
Train No. 20677 Dr MGR Chennai Central – Vijayawada Vande Bharat Express scheduled to leave Dr MGR Chennai Central at 05.30 hrs today will originate from Chennai Beach at 05.30 hrs.
Train No. 12675 Dr MGR Chennai Central – Coimbatore Superfast Express scheduled to leave Dr MGR Chennai Central at 06.10 hrs today will originate from Chennai Beach at 08.10 hrs.
Train No. 22625 Dr MGR Chennai Central – KSR Bengaluru Double Decker Express scheduled to leave Dr MGR Chennai Central at 07.25 hrs today will originate from Chennai Beach at 07.25 hrs.
Train No 12639 Dr MGR Chennai Central – KSR Bengaluru Brindavan Superfast Express scheduled to leave Dr MGR Chennai Central at 07.40 hrs today will originate from Chennai Beach at 07.40 hrs.
Train No. 22601 Dr MGR Chennai Central – Sai Nagar Shirdi Superfast Express scheduled to leave Dr MGR Chennai Central at 10.20 hrs today will originate from Chennai Beach at 10.30 hrs.
Train No. 22637 Dr MGR Chennai Central – Mangaluru Central Express scheduled to leave Dr MGR Chennai Central at 13.25 hrs today will originate from Tiruvallur at 14.05 hrs.
Train No. 12695 Dr MGR Chennai Central – Thiruvananthapuram Central Superfast Express scheduled to leave Dr MGR Chennai Central at 1520 hrs today will originate from Avadi at 15.45 hrs.
Train No. 22919 Dr MGR Chennai Central – Ahmedabad Humsafar Express scheduled to leave Dr MGR Chennai Central at 16.00 hrs today will originate from Avadi at 16.30 hrs.
