SSLV-D3 carrying EOS-08 and passenger satellite takes off from SHAR Range

Sriharikota, (Andhra Pradesh), Aug 16 (UNI) The Indian Space Research Organisation’s (ISRO) Small Satellite Launch Vehicle (SSLV) in its third and final developmental flight, carrying the latest Earth Observation Satellite EOS-8 and a passenger satellite, lifts off from the SHAR Range here on Friday morning.

After a smooth 6.5 hour Countdown that started at 0247 hrs, SSLV-D3 carrying the 175.5 kg EOS-08 and SR-0 DEMOSAT, a passenger satellite, lifted off from the First Launch Pad at 0917 hrs.
