Chennai, Oct 1 (UNI) Tami Nadu Chief Minister and DMK President M.K.Stalin on Sunday exhorted the party cadres to work for the victory of all the 40 seats–39 in Tamil Nadu and the lone seat in the Union Territory of Puducherry–in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
Addressing the DMK district secretaries, Ministers, and booth agents via vide-conferencing, he said it was important that the DMK-led Front should win all the seats in the Lok Sabha polls in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.
Stating that the Opposition-led INDIA alliance, comprising ruling parties of various states and strong regional parties, were formed to prevent BJP from coming to power again, Mr Stalin said it was important that the INDIA bloc wins the ensuing elections at the all India level.
“The BJP will not form the Government at the Centre. Since there has been widespread views that the INDIA bloc will from the next government after the polls, our responsibility. duty and commitment has increased now”, he said.
He said “the DMK had started the poll preparatory works six months back by forming booth committees to ensure that we should win all the 40 seats in the elections”.
“While we won 39 of the 40 seats in the last elections (in 2019), we have to win all the 40 seats this time and the INDIA bloc should win across the country like how it win in Tamil Nadu”, he said and exhorted the party cadres to work hard for the party’s victory in the polls.
