Stalin warms up with cycling in Chicago beach

Chennai, Sep 4 (UNI) Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin, who is on an official visit to US to attract investments, took a bicycle ride in the Chicago beach on Wednesday morning.

Sharing the video of his cycling drive in his social media, Mr Stalin said “Evening’s calm sets the stage for new dreams.”

Mr Stalin, who left for US on August 27, completed his first leg of visit to San Francisco and reached Chicago on Tuesday night.

Mr Stalin, is on an official trip to US to attract investments to achieve the goal of making TN a USD one trillion dollar economy by 2030.

Upon reaching Chicago, he posted “reached Chicago from San Franciso”.

“I thank the Tamil brethrens from showering affection on me by according a rousing reception”, he said.

During his Chicago visit, Mr Stalin will meet leading investors, business and top executives of leading firms, including Fortune 500 companies and invite them to invest in the State.

He will also be addressing the Tamil diaspora.

At San Francisco, the Tamil Nadu government, in the presence of Mr Stalin, signed MoUs with eight companies attracting investments to the tune of Rs 1,300 crore, that would offer jobs for over 4,600 people, he said.

In Tamil Nadu, the government, under the leadership of Mr Stalin, is actively working to enhance the industrial growth and create job opportunities for youth, according to an official release.

As part of this effort, the Chief Minister is on an official visit to the USA to attract industrial investments.

During this visit, at an investors’ conference in San Francisco, MoUs were signed with six leading global companies—Nokia, PayPal, Eltete Engineering Systems, Microchip Technology, Infinx Healthcare, and Applied Materials—for an investment of Rs 900 crores, which will create 4,100 jobs in Chennai, Coimbatore, and Madurai.

Subsequently, the Chief Minister met with senior executives from Apple, Google, and Microsoft, inviting them to invest in Tamil Nadu and signed an MoU with Google for setting up Artificial Intelligence (AI) research labs in the state.

Following this, another MoU with Ohmium was signed in San Francisco for setting up a new electrolyzers and green hydrogen factory in Chengalpattu district, involving an investment of Rs 400 crores, which will provide employment for 500 people.

Ohmium designs and manufactures green hydrogen production and scalable Proton Exchange Membrane (PEM) electrolyzer systems.
