Strict action will be taken against CSC operators: Munde

Mumbai, June 30 (UNI) Maharashtra Agriculture Minister Dhananjay Munde warned that if the complaint against CSC center operators comes for collecting money in the name of crop insurance from farmers, strict action will be taken against such people.

In his statement, Munde stated that, under the Pradhan Mantri Pik Bima Yojana, crop insurance is being paid for the Kharif season at one rupee, but in some places in the state, complaints have been received that CSC center operators are illegally collecting some advance amount above one rupee from the farmers.

In this regard, Munde has appealed to the farmers to directly report the CSC center operators asking for advance money to the state government’s agriculture helpline at WhatsApp number 9822446655 or to the local taluka agriculture officer.

Munde has warned that strict action will be taken against the said center operators with the help of the Rural Development Department.

Farmers are expected to pay an amount of Rs 1 on the portal for filling out an application for crop insurance, while the CSC operator is paid Rs 40 per insurance application by the government.
