Bhopal: Sant Hirdaram Girls College recently hosted a one-day National Service Scheme (NSS) camp with the theme “Clean India, Healthy India,” aimed at promoting health, cleanliness, and social responsibility. The event kicked off with a prabhat pheri (morning procession) where students spread messages of unity and discipline across the campus. This was followed by a rejuvenating yoga session to enhance both physical and mental well-being.
The students then engaged in a social service activity in the village of Mugaliya Hat, reinforcing the importance of giving back to the community. Principal Dr. Dalima Parwani addressed the students, urging them to adopt a healthy lifestyle and integrate cleanliness into their everyday lives.
A key highlight of the camp was a cancer awareness session, in partnership with the Kujnal Welfare Society, where Dr. Pratibha Singhi educated students about breast and cervical cancer, emphasizing early detection and self-awareness.
The camp also featured a motivational talk by Ms. Jyoti Ratre, a Mount Everest climber, who inspired students to embrace challenges and prioritize cleanliness in their environment.
The camp concluded with a commitment to uphold the values of cleanliness, health, and social service, thanks to the dedicated efforts of NSS Program Officers Dr. Vibha Khare and Dr. Meena Barse.
