Bhopal: Swachhata Mitras of the institute were honored on Tuesday at Bhopal Memorial Hospital and Research Center (BMHRC) on the occasion of Swachhata Hi Seva Pakhwada and Gandhi Jayanti. BMHRC’s Director-in-Charge Dr. Manisha Srivastava presented them with certificates of honor.
Dr. Manisha Srivastava offered flowers on the pictures of Mahatma Gandhi and former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri. Addressing the Swachhata Mitras, she said that BMHRC respects you people from the heart and this honor is a symbol of that. No one else can do the work you people are doing. Dr. Srivastava said that we should have a sense of respect for the work of Swachhata Mitras.
Remembering Mahatma Gandhi, Dr. Manisha Srivastava said that people coming to BMHRC should take inspiration from Gandhiji’s life, for this reason we have built Gandhi Vithika outside the OPD premises, in which various photos of Mahatma Gandhi have been put up. She said that Gandhiji was a great supporter of cleanliness. Taking inspiration from Gandhiji, we should take responsibility to keep not only our house, but also our office and outside the house clean.
