Swarn Prashan Ceremony held at AIIMS

Bhopal, Under the guidance of Executive Director Prof. (Dr.) Ajai Singh, the AYUSH department of AIIMS Bhopal has been diligently conducting the Swarn Prashana program for the past year. This initiative, held on the auspicious Pushya Nakshatra day each month, has seen participation and success in promoting the health and well-being of children.

Continuing this noble endeavor, the AYUSH department organized another session of the Swarna Prashana program in the Ayurveda OPD on Saturday. Swarna Prashana, an ancient Ayurvedic practice, is renowned for boosting immunity and enhancing the physical and mental development of children. This session witnessed the participation of 99 children, with 42 returning participants and 57 new registrations, despite the heavy rain.

Highlighting the program’s impact, a survey conducted among 118 participants over the past year revealed that 73% of parents observed positive effects on their children’s growth and development due to Swarna Prashana.

During the recent event, Ayurveda Medical Officer Dr. Ranjana Pandey administered Swarna Prashana to children aged 1 to 16 years. Parents and children were educated about the importance of this practice and its benefits for overall health and wellness.

Over the past year, the AYUSH department has provided Swarna Prashana free of charge, reflecting AIIMS Bhopal’s commitment to promoting holistic health and wellness through traditional Ayurvedic practices.
