Bhopal : The Tamil New Year celebrations were organized recently by Tamil Sangam, Kala Kendra and Nav Shakthi Peth, Bhopal.
At the function, S M Ramanathan ED BHEL Bhopal was the chief Guest and Siva Kumar Bose, Chief General Manager, RBI, Chandrashekhar, Ex GM, BHEL & President Tamil Sangam, Dr. Shantha Iyer, President Kala Kendra, Mukundan, Delhi Tamil Sangam, Kumar, Delhi Kalai Elakiya Peravai, Dr Suresh Kumar, GM group of Schools, Swamidurai, Sec, Bhopal Tamil Sangam and other eminent guests were present.
The light music program was presented by Jai Krish, Shrinitha, K. Suresh and Nitya of SUNTV Fame. They delivered new and old Tamil songs, which kept the audience spellbound.
The highlight of the program was the Themangu traditional Tamil dance rendered by Rajkumar and group and unveiling of a Tamil book titled ‘Valluvam’ based on Thirukural, written by Jayanthinathan {S. Sankaran) at the hands of ED BHEL.
