Bengaluru, Aug 29 (UNI) Tata Motors, India’s largest commercial vehicle manufacturer, unveiled its latest electric bus, the Tata Ultra EV 7M, at Prawaas 4.0, a key event for mass mobility solutions.
The three-day event, showcasing innovations in safe, smart, and sustainable transport, highlighted Tata Motors’ commitment to transforming urban mobility.
The Tata Ultra EV 7M, designed for intra-city travel, boasts a 213kW electric motor and a 200kWh battery, offering a range of up to 160 km on a single charge. Its fast-charging capability enables a full charge in just 2.5 hours. The bus is equipped with advanced safety features, including electronic braking and stability control, along with regenerative braking technology for enhanced efficiency.
Anand S, Vice President and Head of Commercial Passenger Vehicle Business at Tata Motors, praised the event’s alignment with their vision.
“Prawaas 4.0 provides a platform to showcase our latest innovations, including the Ultra EV 7M, which is ideal for both large and smaller cities. Our participation underscores our dedication to delivering efficient, sustainable mobility solutions,” he said.
In addition to the Ultra EV 7M, Tata Motors exhibited a range of transport solutions, including the Tata Magna EV, Tata Magic Bi-fuel, Tata Ultra Prime CNG, Tata Winger 9S, Tata CityRide Prime, and Tata LPO 1822. These vehicles cater to various applications and duty cycles, demonstrating Tata Motors’ versatility in the commercial vehicle sector.
Tata Motors leads the market in electric buses with over 2,900 units deployed across India, covering more than 16 crore kilometers. The company is also pioneering hydrogen fuel cell transport solutions and offers the Fleet Edge platform for enhanced fleet management.
