Moscow, Jan 20 (UNI) Temporary restrictions have been introduced for the departure and arrival of aircraft at the Kazan airport in order to ensure the safety of civil aircraft flights, Artem Korenyako, a spokesperson for Russian air safety watchdog Rosaviatsiya, said.
This happens as Kazan mayor’s office, citing the Ministry of Emergency Situations, warned citizens about the danger of a drone attack.
“In order to ensure the safety of civil aircraft flights, temporary restrictions have been introduced for the operation of the Kazan airport (ICAO code: UWKD),” the spokesperson said on Telegram.
The airport is temporarily not accepting or sending flights, he explaines.
“Aircraft crews, air traffic controllers and airport services are taking all necessary measures to ensure flight safety – this is the main priority,” Korenyako added.
