Bhopal: Governor Mangubhai Patel said that public service is an opportunity to serve the deserving, needy, and poor. He asked the Deputy Collectors to understand the meaning of ‘Public Service deeply’. Always keep the feeling of serving the public uppermost in your mind. The meaning of life lies in working with honesty and devotion during service.
Governor Patel was addressing the trainee deputy collectors of the State Administrative Service undergoing training at the Noronha Academy of Administration and Management, Bhopal. On this occasion, the Director General of the Academy, J.N. Kansotiya was also present.
Governor Patel said that it is the responsibility of the public servants to make the Gareeb Kalyan schemes of the Central and State Governments successful. Their basic duty is to ensure the benefits of government welfare schemes. During your service period, always have respect and honor towards elders, handicapped and deprived people.
