Trains will start from Sept 14 to provide pilgrimage to elderly

The upcoming schedule of the unique ‘Mukhyamantri Tirtha Darshan’ scheme of the Madhya Pradesh government has been released. From September 14 to February 26, 2025, senior citizens of the state will be taken on a religious tour to various cities. According to official information, this time religious places like Varanasi (Kashi), Rameswaram, Mathura-Vrindavan, Kamakhya, Amritsar, Ayodhya, Dwarka, Jagannathpuri, Shirdi and Nagpur have been determined for the citizens in the Tirtha Darshan scheme by the Religious Trust and Religious Affairs Department. More than 15 thousand pilgrims will visit various pilgrimage places during the said period. Senior citizens of the state who are not income tax payers and are 60 years of age or above will be able to take advantage of the scheme. In the case of female pilgrims, a relaxation of 2 years has been given in the age group. The first train under Mukhyamantri Teerth Darshan Yojana will depart from Ujjain for Varanasi (Kashi)- Ayodhya on 14 September. 300 pilgrims from Ujjain district, 200 from Sehore and 279 from Vidisha will travel in it. This train will return on 19 September. The second train will depart for Rameswaram on 21 September. 300 pilgrims from Indore, 200 from Ujjain and 279 from Sehore will depart in it. This train will return on 26 September.

The third train will depart from Meghnagar on 19 September. The third train will depart from Meghnagar on 19 September for Mathura-Vrindavan Teerth.

17th train will depart from Umaria to Shirdi

The 17th train will depart from Umaria to Shirdi on 1 February with 279 pilgrims. 200 pilgrims will depart from Katni and 300 from Jabalpur. This train will return on 4 February. The eighteenth train for Rameswaram pilgrimage site will depart from Morena on 7 February, carrying 279 pilgrims from Morena, 300 from Gwalior and 200 from Datia. This train will return on 12 February. The nineteenth train will depart from Chhatarpur to Dwarka on 15 February, carrying 279 pilgrims from Chhatarpur, 200 from Tikamgarh and 300 from Ujjain. This train will return on 20 February. The 20th train of Mukhyamantri Teerth Darshan Yojana will depart from Bhind for Nagpur on 23 February with 279 pilgrims. This train will take 300 pilgrims from Gwalior and 200 from Datia. This train will return on 26 February.
