Bhubaneswar, Feb 4 (UNI) A 500-bed Trauma Centre will be set up at Shriram Chandra Bhanja Medical College and Hospital, Cuttack.
The proposal in this regard was approved by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi.
Official sources said the Trauma Centre will be implemented under the Central Government’s ‘Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana’.
While the Central Government will invest 60 percent of the funds for this centre, the State Government will invest 40 percent.
The Chief Minister had written a letter to the Union Health Minister J.P. Nadda on July 2, 2024, requesting him for the establishment of a Trauma Centre at Cuttack SCB.
The state government approved the proposal after the Union Government gave in-principle approval to it.
A detailed project report will be prepared, and steps will be taken to establish the project.
