Bhopal: Tribal Affairs department will provide free coaching to tribal students of Madhya Pradesh with the aim of increasing their educational participation in higher educational institutions. The department has created the ‘Akansha Yojana’ to prepare tribal students for national-level competitive examinations in the area of medical, engineering, and law (JEE, NEET, and CLAT). It is worth noting that tribal students have been gaining admission to these competitive examinations by preparing with the help of their government teachers and through self-study. In Akansha Yojana, online applications have been invited from interested Scheduled Tribe students studying in the 10th grade. Applicants will be selected for coaching based on merit, determined by the marks obtained in the entrance examination conducted by the coaching institute.
800 tribal students of MP will benefit in Akansha Yojana
In Akansha Yojana total 800 students will get the free coaching. 400 students will be selected for JEE coaching through a state-level entrance exam in the academic session 2024-25. JEE coaching will be conducted in Bhopal. NEET coaching will be conducted in Indore, where 200 students will be selected. Additionally, Jabalpur has been chosen for CLAT coaching, with 200 students to be selected.
In Akansha Yojana, students selected for coaching will also be provided with residential facilities at the coaching center. Along with this, they will receive books, stationery and proper guidance related to their preparation. Tablets will also be made available to these students, along with free internet and data plan facilities.
