Trump criticises Harris speech for ignoring China, Russia, US poverty

Washington, Aug 23 (UNI) US presidential contender Donald Trump has criticised the keynote speech delivered by his Democratic rival, Kamala Harris, which he said failed to address pressing issues.

On Thursday night, Harris spoke at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago, where she formally accepted the presidential nomination.

“She didn’t mention China, she didn’t mention fracking, she didn’t mention energy, she didn’t mention, meaningfully, Russia and Ukraine, she didn’t mention the big subjects of the day, that are destroying our country. There are 60 million people in poverty in the US, under their watch, and she doesn’t even talk about them!” Trump said on Truth Social.

Harris dedicated only one minute of her approximately 40-minute keynote speech to the conflict in Ukraine, vowing to “stand strong” with the government in Kiev.
