Turkish Embassy in Damascus likely to start work on Saturday: Foreign Minister

Ankara, Dec 14 (UNI) Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said on Friday that a Turkish delegation has traveled to Damascus to start the work of the embassy, which is expected to open on Saturday.

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said on Tuesday that Ankara was preparing to reopen its embassy in Syria.

“Just today our diplomatic team left for Damascus. The work [of the embassy] will probably start on Saturday,” Fidan told Turkish broadcaster NTV.
