Turkish presidency denies reports of alleged arms supply from Syria

Ankara, Nov 12 (UNI) The Turkish presidency denied on Sunday media reports of a large shipment of weapons allegedly coming from Syria to Turkey.

Earlier this week, Turkey’s opposition media and a number of accounts on X reported about an alleged supply of weapons coming from Syria.

“The claim by some media outlets that a very serious shipment of weapons is coming from Syria to Turkey is not true,” the presidency’s center for combating disinformation said in a statement seen by Sputnik.

Customs control teams of the Turkish Trade Ministry work 24 hours per day, using the most modern technical means, and inspect all cargo trucks passing through the Turkish border, the center added.
