New Delhi, Feb 7 (UNI) Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Atishi Marlena on Wednesday asserted that despite conducting 16-hour raids at the residence of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s secretary and 18-hour raids at the house of AAP Treasurer ND Gupta, no searches were conducted and no evidence was recovered by Enforcement Directorate (ED).
Addressing the media, Atishi said, “Yesterday, ED, the favourite weapon of the Central Government, raided the house of CM’s PS for 16 hours and the house of AAP Treasurer and Rajya Saba MP ND Gupta for 18 hours,” Marlena said.
“The ED officers who came during both raids neither did any search, nor did they find any papers, nor did they make any inquiries, nor did they file any paperwork to tell for which case they had come to raid,” she added.
Such a raid might have happened for the first time in the history of ED, the minister said.
Marlena further alleged that after the 16-hour raid at the residence of Chief Minister’s Personal Secretary Bibhav Kumar, the ED took data from two Gmail accounts and three mobile phones.
ED’s Panchnama didn’t mention the purpose of the investigation, Marlena said, alleging, “After 16 hours of raids, ED took data from two Gmail accounts and three mobile phones of CM’s personal Secretary and his family.”
“Modi ji and the BJP have come to know that if there is anyone who is not afraid of them, it is Kejriwal,” she said.
Marlena further asserted, “Modi ji and BJP have come to know that if there is anyone who is not afraid of them, it is Kejriwal. Now there is no pretence of investigation. There is no evidence of any document, any IPC, or any CRPC. Now the ED has ended all pretences themselves.”
All Summons have the same objective: they want to suppress the Delhi Chief Minister and put those associated with him in jail, Marlena added.
Yesterday, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal also criticised the central probe agency for conducting raids at the residences of several party leaders, saying that these actions are driven by political malice with the intent to harass and suppress his party.
He said, “23 Enforcement Directorate (ED) officers conducted raids at his personal assistant’s residence and recovered nothing.”
