Two women scientists excel on world stage

  • Fauzia Z. Haq and Jyoti Mittal of MANIT included in Stanford University list

America’s famous Stanford University has ranked 3,796 scientists from India among the best two percent influential scientists in the world. Thirty-three scientists from Bhopal have been included in this, in which two women scientists have also made it.

In this, MANIT’s assistant professor Jyoti Mittal and associate professor Fauzia Z. Haq are included. Both these women have impressed everyone with their research papers, which have been read and liked by more and more people. Fauzia Haq, associate professor of MANIT, has been registering her name in this list for four consecutive years. She told that whatever research is done is uploaded internationally. Along with this, research reviews from India and abroad are also added to it. The scientists whose papers are read more are given a place in this list. I have worked on nano science, nano technology.

With the help of this technique, solar cells have been made, whose efficiency is very high. Fast gas sensors have been made. Along with this, water filters have been prepared which separate the heavy dye. Water can be cleaned with the help of this technology. To prevent mobile radiation, a screen has been made, which will protect the eyes.

50 research papers of Jyoti at international level

At the same time, Jyoti Mittal, assistant professor of MANIT, has also managed to make her place in the list of Stanford University. She says that I am working to purify the waste water. Fifty of my papers have been read at the international level. My ranking has been made on the basis of reading these papers. I do research on waste water treatment. I have been working on this research for twenty years. Through my research, waste water can be made useful with less expenditure. Since 2016, my name is being included in Stanford’s list continuously.
