New Delhi, Sept 10 (UNI) Amid heightened security, UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and his wife Akshata Murty visited Akshardham temple in Delhi on Sunday morning.
Ahead of the start of the second and last day’s events at the G20 Summit, they reached the temple and offered prayers.
The PM and his wife were given an overview of the famous temple, situated in the national capital.
This is Sunak’s first visit to India since becoming UK PM in October 2022. On Saturday, Indian PM Narendra Modi held a bilateral meeting with Sunak on the sidelines of the G20 Summit here.
PM Modi conveyed his appreciation for the UK’s support during India’s G20 Presidency, marked by high-level participation at various G20 meetings and events.
