Bhopal: Leader of the Opposition, Umang Singhar, has raised concerns over the recent administrative changes within the Lokayukta Police. He claims that the removal of Lokayukta DG Jaydeep Prasad, followed by the transfer of DSP Sanjay Shukla, who conducted the raid on former transport constable Saurabh Sharma, is not a coincidence but a deliberate conspiracy.
Singhar pointed out that on Friday, Lokayukta DG Yogesh Dekhmukh ordered the transfer of DSP Sanjay Shukla, Aniruddh Badiya, and Ramdayal Mishra from the Lokayukta Police, sending them to the Police Headquarters. In addition to these changes, several other officers were also transferred, including DSP Sanjay Jain from the Bhopal division to the Sagar division, Dilip Kumar Jharwade from Jabalpur to Bhopal division, and Braj Mohan Dwivedi from Sagar to Bhopal division.
Sanjay Shukla had led the raid at the residence of Saurabh Sharma, who was involved in a corruption case under the transport department. Singhar believes that these administrative reshuffles are part of a broader attempt to shield corrupt officers and political leaders, orchestrated by the BJP government.
He further criticized the government for allegedly stifling the administration to protect its corrupt affiliates, stating, “This is not justice, but a clear conspiracy of power. The public is watching, and the time has come to demand answers.”
