Union Budget lacks hopes of ‘Achhe Din’ for poor, unemployed: Mayawati

Lucknow, July 23 (UNI) Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) supremo Mayawati on Tuesday said that the Union Budget presented in Parliament on its old pattern lacks hopes of ‘Achhe Din’ for the poor, unemployed, farmers, women, labourers, deprived and neglected Bahujans of the country.

Reacting on the Union Budget, Mayawati posted on ‘X’, “The Union Budget presented in Parliament today, on its old pattern, except for a handful of rich and wealthy people, is less full of hopes of ‘Achhe Din’ for the poor, unemployed, farmers, women, labourers, deprived and is more of a disappointment for the neglected Bahujans of the country to get rid of their troubled lives.”

She said, “This new government also lacks the required reformist policy and intention towards the tremendous poverty, unemployment, inflation, backwardness prevailing in the country and the upliftment of more than 125 crore weaker sections and the basic facilities required for them. Will such provisions in the budget make the lives of people happy and prosperous?”

Mayawati wrote, “The development of the country and the upliftment of the people should not be a maze of figures, but the basic progress like employment opportunities, money in pockets for spending/income should be felt by everyone together to get rid of the troubled life. Development of railways is also very important. The government should give work to every hand like the BSP government.”
