Union Budget : Stalin lists out TN’s wish list

Chennai, July 21 (UNI) Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K.Stalin on Sunday listed out the State’s wish list and wanted the people’s expectations to be fulfilled in the Union Budget 2024.

In a social media post, Mr Stalin listed out six key issues that included road and rail projects, besides reduction in Income Tax burden.

He said funds for the Chennai Metro Rail Project, which were not released for the last three years, should be allotted in the Budget to be presented in Parliament on July 23, sanction for the

Tambaram-Chengalpattu elevated expressway project, fulfill the 10 year long expectations of the middle class by reducing the Income-Tax burden, sanction for the Coimbatore and Madurai Metro Rail projects, allocation of funds for speedy implementation of the already announced new railway projects, increase the cost ceiling for Prime Minister’s housing schemes both in rural and urban areas, Mr Stalin said.

“I hope that the expectations of the people of Tamil Nadu including above listed projects, will be fulfilled by the Union Government”, he added.
