Mau (Uttar Pradesh), Aug 16 (UNI) Former Minister Dara Singh Chauhan filed his nomination papers for the bypoll to Ghosi assembly seat in Mau district as Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate in the presence of the senior party leaders on Wednesday.
Addressing a public meeting before filing the nomination by Chauhan, Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak said that BJP candidate Dara Singh Chauhan was winning the byelection with a huge majority.
He said that BJP has always done the politics of development and the people of Ghosi will send the party candidate to the assembly with a huge majority in the name of development.
Pathak said that winds of development are blowing in the country under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Adityanath Yogi.
The Deputy CM said that the people of Ghosi will ensure Chauhan’s victory with a huge majority for their all-round development.
BJP State President Bhupendra Chaudhary, Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party (SBSP) Chief Om Prakash Rajbhar, Ministers Daya Shankar Singh, Danish Azad Ansari, MP Dinesh Lal Nirhua and Shakti Singh were present on the occasion.
It may be noted that Dara Singh Chauhan, who was elected as the Samajwadi Party (SP) MLA from Ghosi seat in 2022 Assembly poll, recently resigned from the assembly and re-joined BJP.
He served as the Cabinet minister in the first term of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath government.
Before 2022 assembly poll, he resigned from the Cabinet and BJP while accusing the state government of ignoring backward classes and Dalits.
