Etah/Hathras/Agra (UP), Apr 29 (UNI) Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav on Monday said that Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), a party which lies, has betrayed the farmers, youth, labourers and poor.
Addressing election rallies in support of SP and INDI alliance candidates in three districts, the SP Chief said, “BJP has cheated farmers, youths and poor. It spreads false propaganda against SP and opposition parties. While BJP has included all the corrupt and criminals of the country in its party, it makes false allegations against others.”
He said that while the cost of farming has increased, the farmers are not getting the right price for their produce. “The BJP government did not give the legal right of MSP to the farmers’ crops. It defamed the agitation by farmers and insulted them.” he said.
Akhilesh said that during the 10 years of the BJP government, one lakh farmers, troubled by poverty and debt, committed suicide. “This government waived off the loans of Rs 16 lakh crore of the capitalists but did not waive off the loans of the farmers. There was no change in anyone’s life during the 10 years of the BJP government,” he said.
He said that while the BJP is losing the elections, the INDI alliance is winning. Ever since SP formed PDA, the BJP has been nervous. Backward, Dalits, minorities, women, and tribal communities are unitedly voting in favour of the INDI Alliance,” he said.
The SP chief said that this Lok Sabha election is very important and different from others held so far. “This election is an election to save democracy, constitution, and reservation. BJP wants to destroy the Constitution made by Baba Saheb Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar. It wants to end reservations for backward classes and Dalits. BJP’s intentions are not right. IT wants to take away the right to vote. This is an election to end the arrogance of BJP,” he said.
He alleged that BJP is implicating opposition leaders in false cases and sending them to jail. “Government agencies ED, CBI, Income Tax are being misused. Corruption and inflation have increased. Election donations worth thousands of crores were collected by putting pressure on government agencies,” he said.
