Vi offers free data for affected people in Wayanad

Thiruvananthapuram, Aug 1 (UNI) Standing in solidarity and support with the residents of Wayanad as the region grapples with the aftermath of the natural disaster, Kerala’s leading telecom operator Vi, has offered free data for affected people.

For prepaid customers, Vi is offering 1GB mobile data free per day for seven days to help them stay connected with their loved ones and access information easily. The extra data will be auto credited.

For its postpaid customers, Vi has announced an extension on the due dates for bill payments by 10 days.

Further, to assist the authorities as they work on relief measures, Vi is transforming all Vi Stores across Kerala to collection points for relief materials for Wayanad.

Anyone can walk into their nearest Vi Store and donate relief materials.

Shantaram, Cluster Business Head, Kerala & Tamil Nadu, Vi, said “As the people of Wayanad are rebuilding their lives, Vi has ensured that all its 263 sites in the district are fully operational, including 17 sites in the critically impacted areas. We have also enhanced capacities of these sites to ensure they function at optimum levels.”
