Vikram Misri takes over as India’s Foreign Secretary

New Delhi, July 15 (UNI) Vikram Misri, former Deputy National Security Advisor, took over as India’s Foreign Secretary on Monday. External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar congratulated him and wished him a productive and successful tenure.

The EAM posted on X:

“Congratulate Foreign Secretary @VikramMisri as he assumes his new responsibility today.
“Wish him a productive and successful tenure.”

The MEA spokesperson posted on X:
“Shri Vikram Misri assumed charge as Foreign Secretary today.

“#TeamMEA extends a warm welcome to Foreign Secretary Misri and wishes him a successful tenure ahead.”

Sunday was Vinay Mohan Kwatra’s last day as Foreign Secretary.
