The biggest festival of literature, art and culture, Tagore International Literary Arts Festival – Vishwarang started with great fanfare on Thursday in the Rabindranath Tagore University campus with a world tour.
Hundreds of creators, artists, litterateurs and linguists from India and abroad are participating in this event. This is the fifth edition of Vishwarang Mahotsava. Dr. Madhuri Ramdhari, General Secretary of World Hindi Secretariat, who came from Mauritius, was present as the chief guest in this inaugural session. She inaugurated the festival by lighting the lamp. Chancellor of Tagore University and Director of Vishwarang Santosh Choubey, Co-Director Liladhar Mandloi, Chairman of Vanmali Srijan Peeth Mukesh Verma, Co-Director of Vishwarang Dr. Aditi Chaturvedi Vats, Vice Chancellor of Rabindranath Tagore University Prof. Rajinikanth, Vishvarang Secretariat convenor Jawahar Karnavat, Indrajit Sharma and Anoop Bhargava from America, Rama Takshak from Netherlands and Anil Joshi from Global Hindi Parivar Sanstha were present. During this, Chief Guest Dr. Madhuri Ramdhari said in her statement that Hindi can be seen blossoming in the event of Vishwarang and literature looks alive, arts appear cheerful. Such an event is a great need today.
“Ekla Chalo Re” on Sarod fascinates audience
The program started with Sarod playing by Aamir Khan. In this, Hridesh Chopra accompanied him on Pakhawaj. In his presentation he started with Tagore’s famous song ‘Ekla Chalo Re’. After this ‘Aakash Jure Shuni New’… was introduced. Everyone was enthralled with ‘Aar Nere Bela’ in his last performance. Shri Janaki Band of Jabalpur gave a musical presentation of Tagore ji’s compositions through Bengali Rabindra Sangeet.
