Vote to keep opportunistic politics away: Kharge to Maha and Jharkhand voters

New Delhi, Nov 20 (UNI) Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge on Wednesday urged the voters of Maharashtra and Jharkhand to vote in large numbers so that opportunistic politics and forces that endanger the future of farmers and youth are kept away.

Appealing to the voters of Maharashtra, Kharge on his social media handle X said, “Politics of money and muscle power have never happened in Maharashtra. Before voting, you will have to think about falling standards of politics and how it is hurting the self-respect of Maharashtra.

“Keep opportunistic politics, policies to benefit select capitalists, and forces that endanger the future of farmers and youth away from Maharashtra,” Kharge said.

Urging the Jharkhand voters, Kharge said, “The people of Jharkhand voted for public welfare, protection, and water, forest, land, and tribal civilisation in the first phase; you have to protect your rights in this phase too. The victory of social justice is certain; the defeat of polarisation is certain.”

He also appealed to the young voters to participate in this festival of democracy and said, “Vote and encourage others to vote.”
